Since 2013, owner/instructor Kate Lindsay Scher has been helping people in Seattle achieve new levels of fitness and health. Kate is a certified mat and equipment Pilates instructor, a certified prenatal/postpartum exercise specialist, an ACSM certified personal trainer, and a TRX Suspension-certified trainer. After becoming a certified personal trainer in 2013, Kate continued her education with Vitality Pilates that included over 100 hours of class instruction.
During her Pilates certification, Kate became pregnant with her twin boys, Ben & Owen, and continued her practice and instruction throughout her pregnancy and postpartum. This experience made Kate passionate about Pilates practice during and after pregnancy and allows her to empathize with pregnant and postpartum clients' unique challenges. In 2017, she became a certified prenatal/postpartum exercise specialist through Erica Ziel's course.
Prior to Pilates, Kate found fitness by participating in Banked Track Roller Derby (skating under the name "Shirley Sore") as both a skater and a coach for women, children, and teens. When she's not practicing Pilates, Kate enjoys spending time with her family, baking, calligraphy, and talking about the Seattle weather.
